Pyrotex Fireworks 2019

Each year I take my girls to see the Pyrotex fireworks at Firewheel Mall. We never miss a year and we never go anywhere else. These are the absolute best around, I photograph them each year. I used to go to Sachse, Addison, Rowlett, but they simply cannot touch this show in my opinion.

Enjoy some of my favorites from tonight along with parts of the finale video here – https://www.facebook.com/brandievansmccomb/videos/10219561982898388/

Emily & Jaron – 6-16-19

A note from the bride:

Jaron was told by one of his good friends that there was “this girl” in Lubbock at Texas Tech that he HAD to meet and HAD to date, so Jaron reached out to me and asked me if id would let him take me on a date. I agreed, and for some reason Jaron decided to take me to an old run down bar with two of his friends.. it was the worst first date I had been on (HAHA).. it took him a whole year of trying and begging for another chance and a second date for me to go on another date with him.. whatever he did that time must have worked because we have been together ever since that second date and we now have a beautiful little girl together. Jaron likes to say persistence is key!

Jaron proposed on October 25 at a local Pumpkin Patch called At’ll do Farms. The farm has a pumpkin patch, hay rides, fire pits for s’mores, and several food trucks. He had taken me on a date there the year before. The farm has a bunch of picture stations and of course I wanted a picture at all of them. In the center of the farm there is a beautifully lit gazebo. Jaron asked if I wanted to take a picture underneath it which of course I did. While we were “taking a picture” under the gazebo Jaron got down on his knee and asked the big question. Many of our friends were there and it was so special.

Jordyn & Michael’s wedding blog – 6-8-19

A note from the bride ~

Michael and I met our Freshman year of high school at Jenks High School. We met in our biology class and started talking in class and then it went from there!

Michael took me to his families land, we call it the farm, on the opening day of hunting season (October 1st) in 2017. He went out that morning to go hunting and when he came back he asked if I wanted to go for a ride to the waterfall (a place on the land that is very pretty and is a waterfall when there is water running). We went to the waterfall and that is when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!

Madison & Blake – 6-2-19

A note from the bride ~

My fiance and I met our first semester at UNT in Fall of 2013. We both lived at West hall on campus. Blake only lived at the hall and went to UNT for one semester and then joined the army in 2014. I almost did not get to attended UNT at the time depending on financial aid. Lucky for us it was in God’s will for our paths to cross when they did. We became acquantices at the time who said hello and carried on small talk while we both lived at West hall. We added each other on social media that same year. Once he left for the army we lost touch for about a year. Once some time had passed we started talking again via social media in fall 2014/spring 2015. We kept in touch for 2 years. We talked almost every day, at times we went without talking for a month or so here and there but majority of the time we had some form of communication daily while he was stationed in Hawaii for the remainder of his time in the army. We were still just acquaintances but we were somehow a little more because we knew each other’s daily routines, friend groups, etc. While we were thousands of miles away, we always talked about me visiting him in Hawaii but never actually got to make that happen (got close once but didn’t pan out). We also talked about showing each other our favorite spots, hanging out once he got home, and what the future looked like for each of us individually (but also prying to see if the other fit into our life plan, hoping this would be it). Once he returned home in fall 2017 he asked me on a date (without telling me where we were going- so natrually I freak out and don’t know what to wear). He took me to the drive in movies that night in Fort Worth where we had our first official date and hoping it would be a movie ending for us
instead of an awkward disaster. Lucky for us it was in God’s will again for that to be our last first date.
The proposal was exactly one year after our first date at the exact same location, the drive in movies in Fort Worth. We had already planned on going back for our one year date but little did I know it was the day he asked my father for his blessing and then carried on to ask me to be his wife. That night he took me to our favorite sushi place before the movies. We found our spot for the movie and he surprised me with roses and chocolate covered strawberries (and I thought that was the big surprise for the night). We knew we wanted to take a picture in front of the movie screen in between the double feature. So after the first movie he asked the “strangers” next to us to take our picture. As we were taking it I noticed he wouldn’t stop staring at me so I asked if he was ever going to look at the camera, to my surprise he said no. Instead he continued to say the sweetest words. He would always joke about getting engaged in 10 years so he mentioned how he just couldn’t wait another day and got down on one knee!!! We spent the whole second movie in the truck face timing all of our family!

Tristan & Emily’s wedding previews!

A note from the groom….

“Emily and I went to the same school since elementary. We didn’t really know each other until we acquired mutual friends in the 7th grade. We were friends for about a year and began “dating” at the end of our 8th grade year. We dated from that point on through college. After a short eight years i finally for the courage to propose to Emily. I proposed to Emily in New York City, NY on a day that would end in a beautiful ending filled with snow, family, laughter, and love. However, achieving this result was not easy. It all began with lying to Emily about attending a workout class so I could sneak away to purchase her engagement ring. Many months past before I had the opportunity to ask her father’s permission. But again, I found myself lying to Emily to get away long enough to speak with her dad. After he said yes, I had to plan the trip to NYC where I popped the question on Gapstow Bridge in Central Park surrounded by our families. The rest was history.”
Seriously one of the sweetest and most entertaining weddings to date! So much fun from start to finish!

Emily & VJ’s wedding previews – 5-26-19

A note from the bride:

We met through a mutual best friend (best man) in college. We were friends for a long time, dating other people and living life, until we happened to both be single and the three of us (bride, groom, and best man) all moved in together and a relationship blossomed from there.

One night at home, after a busy schedule of trips and vacations, we picked up take out and got in our comfy house clothes and came home for a night in to unwind together. While I was putting together plates for us, chattering away, VJ slipped out, retrieved the ring, and when I turned around he was down on his knee and he asked me to marry him and share a lifetime of happy nights at home together. It was perfect because I had accidentally learned that he was ring shopping and was highly suspicious on all of our trips and outings, and I hate having all eyes on me. I was scared of some kind of big public setting, and he caught me completely and sincerely by surprised, and created the perfect comfortable, safe, and private space for such a special moment.

Family session previews

We shot close to sunset at Prairie Creek Park, it was beautiful out. I have known Carly for many years through the DFW music scene, she’s a fantastic vocalist/performer and her husband is also a musician. Such a sweet family.
