Bobo wedding!!

How it all happened…

One of the very first times they ever hung out, Laurin and Jason started the day rock climbing and playing sand volleyball with a group of mutual friends and ended the day with a pizza for dinner. Despite constant protests, Laurin gave Jason $6 cash to reimburse him for her share of the pizza. They then spent the evening sneaking the $6 back and forth into each other’s pockets, her purse, his shoes, etc. until Laurin left for the evening, throwing the money out the car window at him as she drove away. Still not wanting to accept her money, the next day Jason found Laurin on Facebook, offered to take her on a date as repayment, and she accepted. They went kayaking at White Rock Lake. One and a half years later, at Laurin’s grandparents’ house, Jason took her into the backyard and handed her that same $6 and said that he had been carrying it with him every day since that very first day. He then pulled a ring out of his boot and asked Laurin to marry him while her whole family (who lived all over the world at the time) watched from the living room.

Emily & Kat – Oct. 19, 2019

Kathryn and Emily met in February 2016 and the two got engaged on October 6, 2018. Emily does not like surprises, and never has. Kathryn is really sentimental and likes all things relating to love so after a couple of years together, Emily starting getting nervous about the possibility of a proposal. Instead of waiting for a surprise that she would absolutely despise (only because of the surprise, not the proposal itself) Emily decided that planning their proposals to each other would meet both of their needs. Emily and Kathryn spent a few weeks planning the “perfect” proposal. Emily’s friends and family from out of state flew in for the event and they pair alongside their friends and family found a perfect spot “to propose.” They went to Grapevine Lake, exchanged rings and proposal letters, while the sun was setting behind them. After the proposal they went to their favorite Mexican food spot for tacos, margaritas, and live music.

Beatrice & Thomas – September 29, 2019

Beatrice & Thomas were married at Aristide McKinney on September 29, 2019.

It was one of the most colorful and entertaining weddings to date! We began at a residence for the getting ready shots, a special ceremony, formal photos then headed to the venue for the ceremony and reception. I absolutely loved how they incorporated their children, music, and the color palette of blues & purples were gorgeous!! They had wedding traditions that were so fun!

A note from the bride:

We met at a fundraiser in Arlington Texas. We had our first date at a Boston Market and continue to have lunch at the same location several times a year. We have two kids together and on February 16th 2019, Thomas got on His knee and proposed to me at the Mercury Steakhouse in Arlington, Texas. It was the best day ever and a start of a beautiful journey to 9/29/2019.

Emily & Van – 8-17-19

A note from the bride:

We met at a food and wine festival on May 2, 2014. We went on our first date one week later and have been together ever since. Van proposed on a family vacation in traverse City Michigan. He took me to the top of a lighthouse for the proposal. We had lunch at a super cute, small cottage restaurant just the two of us following the engagement. He had the engagement planned for months prior and I thought he was never going to propose! It was a HUGE surprise!

This wedding was so beautiful with lots of fun! These are only SOME of the shots from the big day!!

Courtney & Michael’s wedding June 29, 2019

This wedding was so beautiful from start to finish! The day began extremely hot, the kind of heat that when you step outside you can barely breathe, but as the ceremony began, storm clouds began to roll in and you could hear thunder in the distance, the weather cooled off, then just as we started bridal party photos, the wind picked up, and you could see lightening strikes way off in the background, clouds were getting darker, but I kept shooting and they were all for it! They were so much fun to work with, everyone was.

Due to the weather, there was a bad accident on the highway coming in, so the minister didn’t make it until the middle of the ceremony, so the mother of the groom officiated the first half of the wedding and it was simply beautiful!
