Year of the brides styled shoot

I had this dream to bring my former brides together for a styled shoot, it was really pretty difficult trying to coordinate schedules with each of the brides and all 15 vendors I had planned on using so I ended up doing something on a lower scale and loved the outcome so much. I shoot around 50+ weddings each year so trying to bring in all former brides together on the same day, well I can dream 🙂 Some were expecting, some just had babies, many already preserved their gowns and a few sadly even trashed their dresses due to divorce 🙁

4 former brides, strangers to each other who instantly turned friends. Each bride has a story, they are different ages, some have kids and some do not. I first had them meet at one of my very favorite hair and makeup salons for the pampering. My vision was for each bride to have a different look according to an era (1940’s bride, 1950’s, etc)

After hair & makeup, they got into their original gowns and then my jewelry vendor provided them each with gorgeous earrings, bracelets, rings and even hair accessories.

We then headed to Prather Park in Dallas to start shooting and that is where one of my favorite florists met us with the most stunning bouquets! I posed each girl, shooting individual shots, two’s and group shots, focusing on details of jewelry, hair and makeup. What a gorgeous day and gorgeous turnout!

What will my next idea be? Stay tuned…
