Engagement previews – Cheryl & Emiliano

My sweet and funny couple will be married May 27th at the beautiful Piazza in the Village. Today we shot their engagements out at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, such a gorgeous day for photos! I love Spring!!!

Take a look at some of the shots I got, they are simply adorable together 🙂

Dallas child/teen session – Murals

It’s St Patrick’s Day and my girls are on Spring Break, they decided they didn’t want to leave town this year so we have been doing local fun stuff all week. Today I asked them if they would be my models and go drive around Dallas looking for cool murals to pose in front of.  They both chose a few outfits and we hit the road. My youngest wanted to try without her glasses, it was tough but we made it work <3 We didn’t get to finish because of the rain so we will do another shoot next weekend 🙂

I have shot in Deep Ellum for over 10 years and love the walls down there but I wanted to try and find something different for my future clients, boy did I find some amazing walls!! It took hours of driving and adding locations to my log of session addresses but so worth it. I even found some hidden between buildings and in garages. The girls loved it plus we found a cute little hamburger joint we stopped at for lunch 🙂

Here are some of my favorites!

Emily & Miles tied the knot on March 11, 2018!

Emily & Miles are the sweetest couple but they also have a very comic side.

The ceremony was held at the gorgeous Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with reception at The Manderely both located in DeSoto, TX. I was in love with the colors she chose for her bridesmaids dresses and the way the beautiful bouquets tied in so nicely. I spotted some purple trees at the venue and was able to come up with some photo ideas that turned out just beautiful.

It was such a great day and evening, everything was wonderful down to the catering, decor and even the adorable little cupcakes. Take a look at the previews below ~

Mykie & Samantha’s very unique LGBT wedding at the The Quixotic World

I have shot many sessions in Deep Ellum over the years from senior portraits to couples, Modeling, etc, and I always stop at this building because I love the red and black on the outside for my sessions. I have always wondered what they have done to the inside since the name change, back in the 90’s I would see bands play there.

I was so excited when I booked this LGBT wedding and on NYE!! (During the afternoon though), however, when my 2nd shooter and I arrived it was SNOWING!!!! We walked in from such a bright and freezing situation outside to a dark and almost Willie Wonka like scene inside, it was awesome! I was in photography heaven, some photographers may have walked in and been in panic mode because if you do not know how to shoot in low light and I mean almost dark, well then you are in trouble. I have years of experience so I was not worried, I was very excited!

Here are some of my favorites from the ceremony and reception, I absolutely love how this venue looks now and the creative touch the brides added. This venue holds all types of events, you really need to check them out. https://www.thequixoticworld.com/dallasweddingvenue/
