A breathtaking wedding that took place at the Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House. Designated a City of Fort Worth Landmark in 1980, McFarland House was Fort Worth’s second property to achieve local landmark status. Known as the region’s most intact Queen Anne residence, the elegant Ball-Eddleman-McFarland House was built high on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River. This sophisticated Victorian beauty of a little over 5,000 square feet was designed in 1899 by English architect Howard Messer for Galveston widow Mrs. George Ball (Sarah) and her son Frank. The house cost $38,000 to build at a time when the average cost of a home was $2,000 to $4,000. The second owners, William and Sarah Conger Eddleman, were from Weatherford. They bought the house in 1904, and moved in with their daughter and her husband, Caroline (Carrie) Aurelia and Frank Hays McFarland. Carrie McFarland lived there until her death 1978 at the age of 100.

Last night I shot a 40th birthday for Stuart Carter at the new venue Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ
It was a party of around 80+ friends and family put on by his mom and younger sister (who happens to have the same birthday), a stilt walker and the cutest monkey you ever did see were just some of the surprises to show up! Miki the Monkey LOVED him some dum dum suckers!! The birthday boy was surrounded by friends and family who had such an amazing time and even roasted him, some were pretty funny! Did I mention it was outdoors at night, like dark!? I love shooting nighttime photography!
Oh and let me tell you, this was the BEST BBQ I have ever tasted! If you have not yet been you must try this place out! Great atmosphere, they have plenty of room for parties, events, they even had a band (big stage out back) and let’s not forget the ferris wheel.
Owner Doug Pickering was there greeting guests, hung out with Miki the Monkey and served up the best BBQ in Texas!! Ferris Wheelers Backyard BBQ is located at 1950 Market Center Blvd. On the menu, you can expect “Texas staples such as brisket, ribs, house-made sausage, honey-brined smoked turkey breast and Carolina-style pork shoulder,” according to a press release. “The Southern-influenced sides include smoked BBQ beans, smoked green beans, BBQ mac & cheese, jalapeño bacon cole slaw and Southwestern potato salad.”

Tuesday is 7. Willa is 5.
Tonight they met for the very first time and now they are best friends.
My brothers and Willa’s momma are 1st cousins but we have no relation. We consider each other cousins anyway. Confused?
😉
Reconnected after 30 years! It was a great evening and we look forward to many more.

Picture this, a Wizard of Oz themed Pumpkin Patch with a real yellow brick road and flying monkeys!!!

I am the mother of two beautiful, precious, talented daughters. I am always working and never have time to really take them out for a session.
I captured these at sunset, I just love how the sunlight danced in their hair, it brought me to tears a few times as I was shooting just watching them, they are both so used to the camera I don’t even have to tell them what to do.
I am proud of these girls and their love for each other and for me. I lost my sister at a young age, we were 10 years apart, I named my youngest after her. These girls are 8 years apart and my oldest takes care of her and helps just like my sister did with me. It is a blessing they have each other.

Kabir celebrates his 3rd birthday this year and to celebrate his family went all out! Little sister was there too <3
These are just a few from the event. Adorable cake, right??

Shaconie & Karen tied the knot and made it official after 8 long years together. They were surrounded by supportive family and friends in a breathtaking venue with gorgeous decor.

From the bride ~
Emmanuel and I met through a mutual friend, I lived in Oklahoma and Emmanuel here in Texas. Many hours of text, phone calls and Skype, we finally decided to meet up. Emmanuel drove up to Tulsa, OK and our first date was actually on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2013. It was at that time we knew we’d be together for the rest of our lives, so I made the decision to move to Texas.
Emmanuel participated in bodybuilding competitions and had a competition in Pittsburgh, PA. He had decided to compete in a competition in Pittsburgh so we traveled to Pittsburgh in September 2015. After his competition the weekend of September 5th Emmanuel set up a secret rendezvous for me. We had gotten all dressed up, a car service came for us and was driving us to a non-disclosed location, unbeknownst to me, Emmanuel had set up a helicopter ride to see the sights Pittsburgh (they have a beautiful skyline). Unfortunately, a storm had rolled in and we were unable to make the trip because of a thunderstorm. So it was off to our next stop – dinner. Emmanuel had set up reservations at the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto. It was a beautiful restaurant that overlook the Pittsburgh skyline. After dinner and enjoying our dessert Emmanuel popped the question.
The wedding day in my words was magical. I had always dreamt of a romantic wedding day and that’s what I got. Having my father walk me down the aisle and officiating the ceremony was especially special. Seeing our two families come together and support myself and Emmanuel is what I have always dreamt. We loved being able to combine the two cultures in our wedding and showing the world that “love wins”. Our wedding day is something that we will never forget.

From the couple:
John and I met 5 years ago, November 2012. At the time I was going to college in Richmond, VA but my parents were living in Texas. I was home on thanksgiving break for a total of 3 days and John and I met during that visit home. We actually met while temporarily working at Victoria’s Secret, were folding yoga pants in the stock room, ha!! I Facebook creeped John the night we met, exchanged phone numbers via Facebook and the rest is history….
John proposed 4 years later on Christmas Eve surrounded by our parents, his grandmother, sister and nephew. He was home on a 2 week leave from the Marine Corps training pipeline which lasted a total of 8 months.
Our wedding was on August 26, 2017 at the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX. This was the first venue we ever visited and immediately fell in love with the it upon entering the Chapel. At Last by Etta James was playing and I got tears in my eyes. After our tour at the Piazza they rang the wedding bells from the venue’s tower and knew in that moment that we had to get married there! Our wedding incorporated a few Romanian traditions, as my side of the family including myself is from Romania!
We loved our #bigfatromericanwedding !!
