Hal & Jessica at Southfork

Hal & Jessica were married on a very cold evening at Southfork Ranch, you know the one, where the TV show Dallas was filmed.

History at Southfork began in 1978 when Lorimar Productions chose the North Texas showplace as the site for the CBS TV series Dallas. The hit series, which counted millions of viewers across the United States and in 95 countries as fans, was originally broadcast in the United States from 1978 to 1991. The series continues to be broadcast in syndication and still is in first-run status in many countries around the world. Because of the ranch’s high profile on television, the beautiful white mansion, the pool, the barns and surroundings quickly became a tourist mecca.

Jessica and her girls got ready in the beautiful white mansion while Hal and the guys got ready in the blue house. Here is just a peek inside their day from beginning to end.

Jamie & Chris’s wedding previews

Chris proposed to Jamie September 24, 2017. They booked me a year in advance of the wedding before they even had their rings! Talk about a compliment!!

I was honored to be their photographer, I had referred them to a few of the vendors for their special day. Please always ask me about vendors listed in my blogs when researching for your wedding. Unfortunately it was raining and very cold so they had to move the ceremony inside, with the help and planning of Petals & Pearls, they were able to create a gorgeous setup for their ceremony then transform the room for the reception. I had to come up with ideas for indoor photos and made it work using the upstairs and one of the very elegant rooms.

Heidi & Steve’s wedding previews

Heidi & Steve have such a beautiful love story. They are an older couple, she waiting for her one and only true love to come along and she finally found him.

It was an emotional night for the entire family, Steve recently lost both of his parents very close together, but his son stood up for him in the wedding and Heidi’s father helped Steve prior to ceremony during some special moments. So many touching toasts during the night as well and the couple went off in style as you will see in the previews below

Stephanie & David’s wedding blog

David and Stephanie met in summer of 2015 through an online dating site. David was moving to Dallas from Indianapolis and wanted to meet new people. He took Stephanie to Fair Park to see fireworks on the 4th of July for their first date. Their love blossomed from there. A year and a half later, David asked Stephanie to be his wife. He proposed to her with a special ring box he hand made out of black walnut with an amethyst inlay (her favorite color!). She said yes. On November 3rd, 2018 they became Mr. & Mrs. David Egger!

The wedding was something out of a fairy tale. Stephanie learned one of David’s very favorite songs and surprised him during the ceremony as she sang it to him while her mother played it on keyboard. Talk about tearjerker! I loved everything about this wedding, simply beautiful.

Jamie & Chris’s engagement previews

I photographed my sweet couple Jamie & Chris with their THREE fur babies in downtown Rockwall I will be photographing their wedding this December at THE SPRINGS Event Venues

It was windy and cloudy but that did not stop us from getting great shots. Calling their names and doing my special dog whistle just wasn’t working after a while so at one point I simply said “treat” and all three dogs simultaneously looked right at me, ears perked up and smiled. Seriously can’t get any better than that! (Don’t worry, they got their treats)
