Heidi & Steve’s wedding previews

Heidi & Steve have such a beautiful love story. They are an older couple, she waiting for her one and only true love to come along and she finally found him.

It was an emotional night for the entire family, Steve recently lost both of his parents very close together, but his son stood up for him in the wedding and Heidi’s father helped Steve prior to ceremony during some special moments. So many touching toasts during the night as well and the couple went off in style as you will see in the previews below 🙂

Stephanie & David’s wedding blog

David and Stephanie met in summer of 2015 through an online dating site. David was moving to Dallas from Indianapolis and wanted to meet new people. He took Stephanie to Fair Park to see fireworks on the 4th of July for their first date. Their love blossomed from there. A year and a half later, David asked Stephanie to be his wife. He proposed to her with a special ring box he hand made out of black walnut with an amethyst inlay (her favorite color!). She said yes. On November 3rd, 2018 they became Mr. & Mrs. David Egger!

Something very interesting about these two? They  have been Beekeeping since April 2018!! Check out their adventures in backyard beekeeping here:

The wedding was something out of a fairy tale. Stephanie learned one of David’s very favorite songs and surprised him during the ceremony as she sang it to him while her mother played it on keyboard. Talk about tearjerker! I loved everything about this wedding, simply beautiful.

Kara & Hamid’s wedding previews

From the bride ~

Our first date (suppose to be just dinner) turned into 5 hours of us talking and laughing . We had instant chemistry. Over the following weeks, my heart told me I had found the man I wanted to marry. I knew within two weeks I was in love. I confided in my MOH Becca’s MOH that I felt it strongly. She too knew within weeks when she met the one, and although I never ever believed in that – deep down I knew. Hamid slipped up and told me he loved me on our 6th date. My shocked expression said it all, “too soon!?” He asked,”too soon” I responded. On that drive home I realized in fact, it didn’t feel too soon. It felt right. Over the coming months between his final year of his PhD and immense struggles within my family, we grew stronger. The adversity made us realize we were great life partners. We got engaged just after Christmas. Setting our date for almost 2 years out. Upon my moms cancer diagnosis, we moved the wedding to the time window doctors advised. We have received so much generosity, love and support. We thank you for being on this this journey with us!

Kara’s mother was diagnosed May 1st, 2018 with a brain tumor and as of May 7th, diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma (or GMB), with the tumor in her left temporal lobe (the area of the brain affecting speech and cognition). A majority of the vendors listed below were brought in by Brandi McComb Photography and every vendor either donated their services free or offered very generous discounts for the family.

Ethan & Anna’s wedding previews

From the bride:

We met in 8th grade math class and would talk occasionally through high school, but never dated. Junior year of college I added Ethan on Facebook and they started messaging. He came home for a weekend a few weeks later so we had our first date.
Ethan told me a few weeks before that his mom wanted some nice family portraits for her birthday. His family is super close so it seemed normal. The day of he came and picked me up around 6 for pictures at his parents house. We got to their house and his sister was outside. She told us everyone else was inside getting ready and to just look at the decorations while we waited. His parents have this pagoda type thing by their pool that has benches so we went to sit there. The photographer came over and asked if he could take some pictures of us. I LOVE pictures of us and make a book each year of all our memories so I was immediately distracted by that. After he took some Ethan started messing with a pillow behind me and told me to stand up for a second. I figured there was a bug or something on it and he just didn’t want me to be scared. Instead he reached behind the pillow, pulled out a ring box and got down on one knee. All I could think to do was yell no way over and over before I said yes.

Once he put the ring on I heard the back door open. I looked and it was my dad walking out. My dad moved to Laredo for work a few years ago so it was so special to me that Ethan had coordinated to get him in town to be there. Ethan had managed to get both my parents, my grandparents and my local aunt, uncle and cousin plus his entire family to his house without me suspecting anything. After everyone came out of hiding the photographer took some pictures of our soon to be combined family!

Interesting fact about Anna? She was the title holder of Miss McKinney in 2012 and competed for Miss Texas.

Sarah & Jorge’s wedding previews

From the bride:
Jorge and I met when I was a Junior in high school and he was a senior. We both went to different schools and I had just moved here (Sachse) from Oklahoma. I got a job at Brooklyn’s pizza and shortly after Jorge had set his sights on me. Funny story: when Jorge asked me for my number he told me he was asking for someone else, so when he texted me I thought that he was another person. I went on thinking this until I saw him the next day and found out that it was him. A couple months later, we found ourselves falling in love.
Jorge and I knew that we were ready to get married around Thanksgiving of last year. We had discussed the topic and then when we went to visit my mother in Oklahoma City for Christmas he took me and my mother to pick out my engagement ring. My mom was the one who spotted the ring and I instantly fell in love. It looks just like hers (smaller of course). I then knew if was coming and the anticipation was killing me. Finally, on New Year’s Eve when the clock struck midnight, (in the middle of eating grapes) I turned around to see him on one knee. He wanted to make it a surprise for everyone so the only person
who knew about the proposal was his brother Guillermo. His father, aunt and uncle and his cousins were there cheering us on.

The wedding was beautiful and intimate with only a small number of family and friends.

From the bride:

We met through a mutual friend many years ago, later reconnected and had a beautiful baby girl
Olivia. The proposal was during a family trip to San Antonio. We went on a nighttime walk around the

Lauren & Nathan’s wedding previews

From the groom ~

Lauren and I met while we were both attending law school at LSU in Baton Rouge. From the moment I first saw her in those leopard leggings during my Employment Discrimination exam (somehow it ended up being my lowest grade that semester), I knew she was the one. After deploying some super smooth tactics, including pretending like I didn’t know who she was, I somehow convinced her to study with me at the library. Eventually, after buying her countless smoothies during our study breaks, she finally agreed to go on a date with me! We decided that we would go to the movies for our first date and I even let her choose the movie thinking she would choose some boring chick flick, but to my surprise, she chose Mad Max Fury Road. Once we got to the movies, I offered to buy some snacks expecting that she would choose popcorn and candy, but again to my surprise, she chose a pickle…yes, a pickle. It was at that moment that I knew two things: 1) this was not your typical girl; and 2) I had to make her mine. There was really just one more test for Lauren to pass at this point – meeting my now 10 year old golden retriever, Marley. Lauren and Marley became best friends immediately upon meeting each other. In fact, the first time Lauren met Marley, they rolled around on the ground together for at least 15 minutes. After I graduated and moved to Shreveport to start my job at Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea, our future seemed a little uncertain as Lauren was set to take the Texas bar exam in May of 2016 and planned to move back home to Dallas, where she all but had a job lined up at a prominent oil and gas firm. To my surprise, Lauren told me she was fully committed to me and was going to take the Louisiana bar exam and search for job opportunities in Shreveport. When Lauren told me this, it was one of the happiest days of my life. Shortly thereafter, Lauren accepted a job with the twenty-sixth judicial district court for Bossier and Webster Parishes, where upon graduating and passing the bar she clerked for the Honorable Parker Self and the Honorable Michael Nerren. In December of 2016, Lauren met her new best friend in this world – a tiny miniature longhair cream Dachshund named Nash, who is as ornery as he is cute (Lauren would kill me if I somehow didn’t mention Nash during this whole thing). During the summer of her clerkship, Lauren took and passed the Texas bar exam. After Lauren’s clerkship, she accepted a position as an associate attorney with Langley, Parks, Horton & Maxwell in Shreveport. We closed on our new home in Shreveport on August 4, 2017. On that same day, Lauren made me the happiest man in the world by agreeing to marry me after I got down on one knee in our empty new home filled with candles and rose petals. We then shared a picnic of her favorite food (spaghetti) and celebrated with champagne and chardonnay (her favorite white wine). We have been celebrating ever since and are excited beyond words to become husband and wife. We cannot wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family on October 13, 2018 in Dallas, Texas.

Laura’s bridal previews

Laura was married today at Piazza in the Village 🙂

I have been holding on to her beautiful bridals for a while, we shot these at Las Calinas Canals on a very windy day. Unfortunately her veil flew right off her head and into the canal that day but thankfully she was able to get a new one in time for the wedding.

Here are some of our favorites.

Venue – Las Calinas Canals

Dress – David’s Bridal
