Elyza’s bridal portraits

Elyza was a stunning bride! She was breathtaking in her gown from The Bridal Shoppe in Wylie, add in the gorgeous bouquet created by Treasured Blossoms Flower Market and it was picture perfect! Her hair & makeup was flawless!

We shot her bridals at the Dallas Arboretum, one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings, bridals, family sessions, engagements, you name it! Take a look at just some of my favorite shots from our session that day. She married her high school sweetheart Drake on February 22, 2018 at Rustic Grace Estate.

Elyza & Drake’s wedding previews!

They fell in love in high school and not too long after both knew in their hearts they were made for each other.

They have been planning for a while now and Elyza wanted everything to be exactly how she had dreamed. Those dreams came true! Although storms rolled in all week we all prayed for nice weather and our prayers were answered, it was cold but the rain finally moved off so we were able to grab a few shots outside. The girls brought white umbrellas which was a fabulous idea!

Everything was simply stunning, it was so hard for me to just choose a few photos so I am sharing quite a bit from the day.

Karina’s 1st birthday – sneak peeks!

Karina celebrated her 1st birthday surrounded by family & friends with catering and an amazing cake, cookies, cupcakes and more! There was even a bubble show and a bounce house!

Here are just some of the best moments from her very special day.

Thanks so much for having us capture the memories 🙂

Maternity session previews at the Dallas Arboretum

Yolanda & Claud are expecting their first child and I couldn’t be happier for them!

They are like family, he has been the saxophone player in my band for the last 15 or so years. Today we shot at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, it was cold but nobody was there but us, seriously it was empty! We had the place to ourselves and it was perfect.

Here are some of my favorites.

The Dallas World Aquarium

Have you ever been to the Dallas World Aquarium?

If you haven’t it is time to gather the family and spend the day inside this incredible place full of adventure for all ages!

Take a look at some of my favorite moments from the day with my daughter and her BFF.

Oh and if you are looking for a unique venue for your wedding or event, well they do that too! I have photographed both there and they can really make this place something your guests will talk about for years to come! Bat Mitzvah at the Dallas World Aquarium

The Dallas World Aquarium is always an exciting place to go visit, especially with kids! Have you ever thought about planning your next event there? Your child’s birthday? Sweet 16? Bat Mitzvah? Of course they also have gorgeous weddings too!

I am here to tell you it is an awesome experience! You begin with a tour through part of the aquarium then end up downstairs where you can have a buffet style meal and add in a DJ or band for your entertainment, it is seriously so much fun!

Here are some examples to show you just how much fun these kids AND adults had….need more info? Visit their website here: https://www.dwazoo.com/

Mykie & Samantha’s very unique LGBT wedding at the The Quixotic World

I have shot many sessions in Deep Ellum over the years from senior portraits to couples, Modeling, etc, and I always stop at this building because I love the red and black on the outside for my sessions. I have always wondered what they have done to the inside since the name change, back in the 90’s I would see bands play there.

I was so excited when I booked this LGBT wedding and on NYE!! (During the afternoon though), however, when my 2nd shooter and I arrived it was SNOWING!!!! We walked in from such a bright and freezing situation outside to a dark and almost Willie Wonka like scene inside, it was awesome! I was in photography heaven, some photographers may have walked in and been in panic mode because if you do not know how to shoot in low light and I mean almost dark, well then you are in trouble. I have years of experience so I was not worried, I was very excited!

Here are some of my favorites from the ceremony and reception, I absolutely love how this venue looks now and the creative touch the brides added. This venue holds all types of events, you really need to check them out. https://www.thequixoticworld.com/dallasweddingvenue/

Our Memphis & Nashville vacation

The girls and I had the most wonderful vacation this year!

This time I wanted to do something really memorable and geared more towards music. What better place to go than Memphis and Nashville! We started out in Memphis to tour Graceland and the girls just loved it! I went as a kid but going back as an adult for some reason was really emotional. It was just wonderful. The next morning we headed to Nashville where we stayed 4 days and toured the Country Music Hall of Fame, went to the Gaylord Opryland and saw ICE! and we also saw the incredible Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. I also surprised my oldest with a studio session at a very dear friend of mine’s recording studio.

We went ice skating, made gingerbread houses, had a visit with Santa Claus, ate at many wonderful restaurants. Each year I come up with a different place to take my girls, it is important to me that they get to experience things as they grow up. I got to tour all of the world for nearly 10 years in my 20’s, I want them to get the experience early 🙂

The entire trip is one we will remember always.
